X-Frame - Version 2.0

$22.00

I’m currently using the X-Frame as a means of securing my MaskFrame straps to the back of my head. The critical feature is that it keeps the straps from crossing my ears and keeps tension both high and low. This keeps my mask comfortable and secure.

The problem with most common, single-point ear savers is that they do one of the 3 following things:

  1. Ride high above the ears leading to pressure and pain on the top of the ears while only securing the bottom of the mask and frame. This can also result in excessive fogging of eye protection or face shields, as the exhaust goes up.

  2. Ride low below the ears leading to a mask that is not secure on the bottom. Also, it has a propensity to creep downward if you talk at all.

  3. Ride right across the ears, often leading to significant discomfort.

The goal of the X-Frame is to evenly distribute the force of the straps where they belong, above and below the ears. This is both more comforable to the wearer and provides a better seal, overall.

The X-Frame can be worn passively, secured to a hair-tie, or attached via a common snap-able button to a surgical cap. If you choose to go with the snap-able button, amazon purchase links can be found below. This approach is very affordable and easy to implement.
